Right now I’m reading Moby Dick, which is surprisingly enjoyable. If you haven’t read Lord Of The Rings go and buy it right now. I love books but I don’t feel well-read enough to really advise people on books. Everyone has different preferences. I like fantasy (i.e. Tolkein and Rowling) and books about youth&society (like The Virgin Suicides), but I’m also reading a lot of ‘classics’ to find other genres I’d like. Some other slightly different favourites of mine are Metamorphoses by Ovid (my love for Latin and fantasy = mythology) and Tricks Of The Mind by Derren Brown. If you really want a suggestion list I’ll make it small. The Catcher In The Rye, The Picture Of Dorian Grey, The Great Gatsby, The Bell Jar, Treasure Island, The Hobbit, The Magician’s Nephew.
